Molecular Entomology

Three credits, class meets three times every week.

Course objectives: The objectives of this course are to examine the molecular mechanisms governing physiological processes that are unique to insects, and to learn how to critically review scientific literature, and design and interpret experiments that utilize molecular biology approaches.

Insecticide Toxicology: Principles and Applications

Instructors: Drs. Ke Dong and Robert Hollingworth
Two credits, class meets once every week.

Course objective: The objectives of this course are to introduce students to basic principles of toxicology, including insecticide mode of action and classification, to discuss current research topics in insecticide toxicology and to make students familiar with new insecticide development, policy, and regulation.
