The Albert J. Cook Arthropod Research Collection (ARC) houses a significant arthropod collection representing the biodiversity of Michigan, the Great Lakes Region, and to a lesser extent, the World. The Collection includes close to 1.5 million specimens. It provides expert information on identification, biology, distribution, and seasonal occurrence of arthropods for researchers, extension personnel and the general public for use in systematics, agriculture, natural resources, and urban insect management.
