News for April 2011

The annual Entomology Spring Picnic will be held on Friday, April 29th from 4 PM to dusk. The Graduate and Undergraduate Entomology Student Society (GUESS) will host at the Sandhill Shelter at Lake Lansing Park North, 6260 E. Lake Drive, Haslett. They will provide and grill burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, and veggie dogs; north campusers are askd to bring a side dish, south campusers are asked to bring a dessert. Join in the fun with your familes, significant others, and lawn games! Spring picnic 2010

We will have 7 new students in the Department of Entomology for Fall Semester 2011. Chelsea Rawe, Kyle Redilla and Ryan Young have declared Entomology majors. Chelsea will be working with Terry Davis this summer in the turf entomology lab.  Students with new entomology minors include Melissa Baker, Anna Busch, Mike McFarland and Jeff Shoemaker. Anna currently works with aphids in Carolyn Malmstrom’s plant bio lab. Welcome to these students as they join our department.
