Dr. Larry Besaw
Dr. Besaw is Director of Wilderness Environmental Field Studies, which offers experiential programs in environmental science for undergraduates in several exotic locations, including the Canadian Rockies, Virgin Islands, Costa Rica and Switzerland. Current areas of research include the pedagogical effectiveness of experiential education, long term effects of human use on protected natural areas, and studies in insect biochemistry focusing on the isolation and characterization of various proteins affecting insect metabolism, reproduction and resistance.
