Public Science Education

The department has expanded its traditional efforts in public outreach into a novel programmatic strength in public science education. Our Bug House, summer Bug Camps for Kids, as well as the emerging emphasis on insect conservation and zoo keeping, are all achieving national prominence.

Bug Camp	Bug Camp is a special 1/2-day science program for young children beginning their discovery of the insect world. Programs are designed for 6-8 and 9-11-year-olds.	Barb Stinnett
